Senior Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu has been granted permission to visit Pakistan at the inaugural ceremony of Kartarpur Sahib Corridor on November 9. This comes after Sidhu wrote multiple letters requesting permission from the Centre over his visit. Earlier on November 4, Sidhu had received an invitation from Pakistan PM Imran Khan bearing the serial number '0001' on an invitation card for the inauguration of the Kartarpur corridor. Kashmir: Four people killed in separate incidents following heavy snowfall

In the Kashmir Valley, four people, including two locals employed as Army porters, lost their lives in separate incidents following heavy snowfall. As per the Army officials, the two porters identified as Manzoor Ahmed and Ishaq Khan died after coming under an avalanche near a forward post in the Kupwara district. In another incident, Manzoor Ahmad, an inspector in the Power Development Department (PDD) died while trying to restore power supply, which has been disrupted by heavy snowfall and a pedestrian also died after he was hit by a branch that fell off under the weight of snow. Pakistan deploys special 'Tourism Police Force' for security of Kartarpur pilgrims

Pakistan's Punjab police have deployed a special 'Tourism Police Force' to ensure the safety of Indian pilgrims visiting the Kartarpur Corridor on a daily basis. Pakistan PM Imran Khan will open the corridor on Sunday this month. Punjab Police spokesperson, Niyab Haider Naqvi, stated that a batch of 100 Tourism Police Force has been deployed to look after Sikh pilgrims and their safety. Naqvi further said that visiting Sikh pilgrims will be restricted to the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib and the rangers and police will ensure complete safety in and around the Corridor and the Gurdwara. Kartarpur model may help resolve future conflicts: Manmohan Singh
