Ahmedabad building collapse update: 3 lives killed, at least 7 lives were saved

Recently it was claimed by the media reports that 3 people have lost their lives while several others were severely injured in Ahmedabad’s building collapse. The rescue operation is underway which has saved at least seven people as well. Don't display village, caste names on vehicles: Rajasthan Police

Recently the Rajasthan Traffic Police has declared to not to display caste and village names over the vehicles. The Traffic Police has initiated the step following a representation made by civil society to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. The civil society's general secretary Sursh Saini while informing about this argued that such practices propagate casteism and encourage divisive tendencies in the society. Google to pay a record $170 million for case against YouTube for child privacy violations

Google’s YouTube agreed on Wednesday to pay a $170 million fine as well as agreed to limit ads on kids’ videos to settle claims that the company violated children’s privacy laws. The world’s largest video-sharing site agreed to pay the record fine, which is the highest for a children’s privacy case, of $136 million to the U.S. Federal Trade Commission and $34 million New York State for not obtaining the consent of the parents in collecting data on kids under the age of 13. Starting in four months, Google also will limit data collection and turn off commenting on videos aimed at kids. Defence Ministry has resolved the price issue of 83 Tejas Light Combat Aircraft

The dispute about the pricing of 83 Light Combat Aircraft (LCA)-Mk1A, to be manufactured by the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), has been finalized, said Apurva Chandra, Director General in the Defence Ministry. Procurement of additional Akash surface-to-air missiles for the Indian Air Force, worth Rs. 5500 crore, had also been cleared by the Union Cabinet last week. Initial clearance for the 83 LCA-Mk1A aircraft was given in November 2016, however, negotiations have been stuck due to the steep price of the aircraft. Src:https://bit.ly/2kwIUhp
