Following the death of Chennai techie Subhashree, who died after a banner of AIADMK fell on her, the Madras High Court expressed that they are tired of passing multiple order against the illegal flex boards. "There is zero respect for lives in this country. It's bureaucratic empathy", added the Court. The bench of Justices M Sathyanarayanan and N Seshasayee included that the officials who are sucking the blood of the people are more loyal to a party than to the govt. Subhashree, a 23-year-old woman, working in a software company was run by a water tanker as she fell on the road when an illegal hoarding put up by a ruling AIADMK functionary fell on her. SC asks govt to share its plan overt linking of social media with Aadhaar

The Supreme Court has asked the BJP govt about their plan to link Aadhaar with social media accounts. A bench headed by Justice Deepak Gupta has asked the center to inform if the government has any plans to frame a policy to regulate social media linking with Aadhaar by September 24. The top court order came after a plea was filed by petitioners from different high courts to link social media with Aadhaar for security reasons. Telangana: 2 goats arrested for eating seedlings planted by an NGO

In Telangana's Karimnagar district, two goats have been taken into police custody for allegedly eating seedlings planted by an NGO 'Save The Trees' at several public offices and hospitals, in Huzurabad. As per media reports, the accused goats are repeated offenders and had eaten around 250 of the 980 wild almonds seedlings planted by the NGO. A member of the NGO expressed, "We had worked hard to acquire these plants, and then these goats started to come in and eat our plants". UN appoints retd Indian Army officer to lead its mission in Yemen

United Nation's Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has appointed Lieutenant General (retired) Abhijit Guha as Chair of Redeployment Coordination Committee and head of the UN Mission in support of Hudaydah Agreement. As per media reports, Guha has been tasked with leading the UN oversight of a ceasefire agreement in the Yemeni city. Abhijit Guha after his retirement from the Indian Army in 2013, he has served on the Expert Panel on Technology and Innovation in UN Peacekeeping (2014) and the High-Level Independent Panel and Peace Operations (2015).
