3 accused identified for firing on Meerut Police charged with INR 20,000 fine each

Amid ongoing protests in UP over Citizenship Act which have turned violent, Meerut Police have announced a fine of INR 20,000 each on three persons who have been accused of firing at police during the protests on December 20. The 3 accused of firing were identified through video footage. Also, on the basis of photographs and videos, many people have been identified and names of 50-60 people are included in the investigation. Varanasi-bound Cambodian monk caught with 3 wild boar teeth

Recently a Varanasi-bound 44-year-old Cambodian monk, identified as Chan Shopheap was arrested for carrying three wild boar teeth at the Kempegowda International Airport. As per the media reports, Chan Shopheap came to the Bengaluru airport to catch a flight to Varanasi. At around 1.10 pm, a screening of his baggage showed three teeth of an animal. After the further probe, it was concluded that the teeth belonged to wild boar. As per the security, Shopheap failed to produce documents for carrying the wildlife item.
