Bombay High Court compensates Rs 10 lakh to kin of a man who died during MRI due to hospital’s lapses

The Bombay High Court has ordered Brihan Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to pay Rs. 10 lakh compensation to the family member of Rajesh Maru who died in 2018 after he was sucked into the MRI machine because of Medical staff lapses. The 32-yr-old Rajesh Maru was asked by the ward boy to carry oxygen cylinder inside the MRI room, because of this he was sucked into the machine, got severely injured and then died. "We respect the court's decision. But what will we do with Rs 10 lakh compensation? I have lost my son due to the negligence of the medical staff. Karnataka: ICGS Rajdoot rescues 23 people stranded off bhatkal coast

Indian Coast Guard Ship (ICGS) Rajdoot has rescued 23 crew members onboard am IFB NSG vessel (Reg. No. KA04MM2473) which had gone adrift due to an engine failure. As per media reports, the incident was reported to Coastal Security Police, Bhatkal, which located the vessel 30 nautical miles from Mavinakurve. The reports further added that ICGS Rajdoot was patrolling off Karnataka and Goa coast when it was diverted to the site of the incident. Upon arrival, the technical team of ICGS Rajdoot provided the requisite technical support to the stranded ship but the engine couldn't be started. Recently Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman tried to give an explanation about the decline in sales of two-wheelers and three-wheelers in India. She tweeted that the automobile industry is affected because of the mindsets of millennials who prefer to use Ola and Uber to commute rather than buying a car or scooter. Jammu and Kashmir DGP Dilbag Singh, while addressing a press conference, expressed, "We are very close to normalcy. If you take the entire region into account, all 10 districts of Jammu have become entirely normal, all school, colleges, and offices are open. Leh and Kargil are also normal, there is no restriction of any kind there". Singh further said that more than 90% areas are free of restrictions and 100% telephone exchanges are working now.
