Andhra Woman walks 60 km to marry her boyfriend in neighbouring village

A woman identified as Chitikala Bhavani in Andhra Pradesh walked a distance of 60 kilometres to marry her boyfriend Sai Punnayya, who lived near her village. Bhavani and Punnaya, who have been together for four years and their parents were not happy with them. However, when everything was ready to set their plan in motion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced lockdown for 21 days amid the coronavirus outbreak. Kerala homeless man waves away cops approaching him with food, ensures social distancing

A touching video of three policemen in Kerala offering food to a homeless man, while the latter tries to ensure social distancing in times of coronavirus has surfaced online. The video shows the three policemen entering a bylane where they spot a man lying in front of a shop. As one of them moves forward, the latter stops him, draws a circle with a stone and asks him to leave the food there. No community transmission of coronavirus in India yet: Govt on ICMR report

Reacting to a study by ICMR on SARI patients, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare's Joint Secretary Lav Agarwal said there is no community transmission of Coronavirus in India yet. To bring Indians from abroad will be decide after review of COVID-19 situation: Govt

When the government were asked about Indians who live abroad, they said over 20,400 foreign nationals have been evacuated from India and a decision on bringing Indians from abroad will be taken at a later stage after reviewing the COVID-19 situation. According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the government also said there are 3.28 crore hydroxychloroquine tablets in India's stock and a decision has been taken to export some surplus medicines after reviewing the domestic requirement and keeping buffer stocks.
