531 cases registered, over 1,600 arrested or detained regarding Delhi violence: Police

The Delhi Police has stated that so far, as many as 531 cases have been registered, including 47 cases under the Arms Act, regarding the violence in the North-East Delhi. The police further said that 1,647 people have also been either arrested or detained. Yesterday, a delegation of Congress led by Rahul Gandhi visited the violence-affected areas of Delhi. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal to not celebrate Holi over communal violence in the capital

During a press conference, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Wednesday that he would not celebrate Holi in the wake of communal violence in northeast Delhi. He also said that his party MLAs would also not celebrate Holi due to the riots. Violence in Nankana Sahib is an answer to those opposing the CAA: Amit Shah

BJP President Amit Shah on Sunday accused Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Vadra for instigating riots by misleading the people on the provisions in the CAA. Shah tried to reassure Muslims by saying that the CAA has no provisions of taking away the citizenship of minorities. Pointing at the alleged incidents of violence outside the Nanakana Sahib Gurudwara in Pakistan, Shah said that the incident was an answer to all those opposing the CAA.
