“Modi Hai toh Mumkin hai”, BJP ‘s slogan for upcoming Lok Sabha election.

The Bharatiya Janta Party has chosen a slogan PM Narendra Modi’s surname . Modi is perceived as doer or person who works. “Modi hai toh mumkin hai”- “Modi makes it possible”. The BJP will contest in general election with this slogan. Finance Minister Arun Jaitely said, “His image as a doer is now recognized by most Indian. Many India observers across the world have marvelled with India India’s pace taking decisions and implementing them. Therefore BJP has chosen an effective slogan for forthcoming election”.

Congress in its Manifesto of 2019 Lok Sabha Election plans to scrap 5 different section of GST and merge it to Single 18% GST. According to Congress manifesto a single rate of 18% GST tax will be implemented on all products.

“China should not prevent UN panel from doing the job the council had entrusted it to do”, UNSC Diplomat slams China over Masood Case.

A day after Beijing used it Veto power to prevent Jaish-e-Mohammad Terrorist Masood Azhar from being listed as Global terrorist, one of the UN Security council expressed disapproval. The Diplomat said, “China should not protect terrorists from Pakistan or any other country from being held accountable to the council.”.. the diplomat warned, “ if China continues to block designation, responsible member states may be forced to pursue other actions at the Security Council”.

Apex Court questions Centre for non-implementation of Asset Disclosure rule.

Supreme Court on Tuesday asked Centre about why there has been no amendment made in Conduct of Election Rule as per 2018 Court’s order. As per the Rules of SC 2018 , there must a compulsory disclosure of assets and sources of income of candidate, spouses and defendants while filing nomination for election. An NGO ‘Lok Prahari’ has filed a ‘Contempt of Court’ case against government. However the CJI Ranjan Gogoi and 2 other judges of same bench have decided to have an explanation from by Secretary of legislative department in Union Law Ministry for not implementing court's order.
