Haryana turns up with 61.62% and Maharashtra with 55.33% voters in the polling

The country is noticing the assembly elections in two of the states, Haryana and Maharashtra and by-elections over 51 seats and two Lok Sabha constituencies across 18 other states of the country. The voting in Haryana and Maharashtra started at 7 AM in the morning and continued till 6 PM. The voters count in Haryana turned out to be 61.62% of the total in the state while Maharashtra observed casting by 55.33% voters. More than 3lakh security personnel were appointed in Maharashtra including the ones from the state police and the central forces, and Haryana saw the mobilization of a total of 75000 security personnel to ensure the security of the voters and healthy elections. Exit polls predicts 2/3 majority for Shiv-Bjp in Maharashtra assembly election

An exit poll has come out which shows Shiv Sena-BJP leading and they are getting 2/3rd of majority. According to a media report, the India Today-Axis My India exit poll has predicted an easy win for the BJP-Shiv Sena pact in the Maharashtra Assembly elections, with BJP+ predicted to get 166-194 seats, Congress+ 72-90 and Others 22-34, in the 288-member Assembly. Meanwhile, the CNN News 18-Ipsos exit poll predicted a bigger victory for the BJP-Shiv Sena coalition in the state, with 141 seats given to BJP, 102 to Shiv Sena, 17 to Congress and 22 to NCP. Amid voting on for 90 seats of Haryana and BJP’s Manohar Lal Khattar seeking his second term in the state, congress leader Rahul Gandhi tweeted a video slamming BJP MLA Bakshish Singh Virk, in which he can be seen claiming that whichever button voters press, the vote will go to BJP Govt and the congress leader further calls him 'BJP's most honest man' in his tweet. Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar travels by train, rides bicycle to cast vote

Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar, to cast his vote for the Assembly polls, travelled by train from Chandigarh to Karnal and then rode a bicycle to reach a polling booth. Khattar, after casting his vote stated that voting is underway peacefully across the state. Khattar further said that opposition parties including Congress have already lost and have left the battleground and their tall claims have no value. As per media reports, the ruling BJP is locked in a contest with the Congress and the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) for 90 seats in Haryana. CM Manohar Lal Khattar has set a target of 75 of 90 seats.
