Raj Thackeray on Maharashtra govt's plan to convert forts into hotels: It is stupidity

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray on Saturday warned the Maharashtra government against the conversion of the Mumbai forts into `heritage hotels'. The state tourism planned to promote tourism on forts which are not in the protected list of the Archaeological Survey of Indi. However, Thackeray said the government "should not even touch the forts". "It is stupidity," he said. Army jawan killed as Pakistan violates ceasefire along LoC in J&K's Poonch

In recent events, an Army jawan was killed as Pakistan violated ceasefire on forwarding posts and villages along the Line of Control in Poonch district situated in J&K. As per the media reports, the firing from across the border was severe and was still continuing at the time of reports were being established. 7 people, including 5 soldiers and a 10-day-old baby, have lost their lives while several others have been injured in frequent ceasefire violations by Pakistan along the LoC in the two districts since July. Delhi: 3,900 challans issued on the first day of new Motor Vehicles Act

Recently the government had amended the Motor Vehicles Act and raised the penalty to curb the violation of traffic rules. As per the media reports, the data shared by the traffic police said that the Delhi police officials have issued 3,900 challans on the very first day. Under the new law, people not wearing helmets or seat-belts will be fined Rs 1,000, which was Rs 100 earlier, while those driving without a licence can be fined Rs 5,000 or face three-month jail. In recent events, K Kamalathal, an 80-year-old woman from Vadivelampalayam near Perur, Tamil Nadu was found of selling the south Indian food, Idli for merely 1 Rs. Kamalathal who runs her business along with her son says her 'business' is meant for the needy who want to save money for their families. Kamalathal also said that “The vessel can make 37 idlis in one round. I sell around 1,000 idlis every day.
