No power cut till April 14th for non-payment of bills in the state: Tamil Nadu govt

According to the state Electricity Minister P Thangamani, no power connection would be disconnected till the end of the lockdown period for non-payment of electricity bills in Tamil Nadu. He made the announcement days after Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) announced consumers have to pay their bi-monthly bills based on the readings of the previous bi-monthly bills. Tokyo Organisers declares event will conduct on July 23 to August 8, 2021 amid Coronavirus

As the number of Coronavirus cases increasing, the Tokyo organizers decided to the postponed ceremony and it will be conducted on July 23, 2021. The event will open next year in the same time slot scheduled for this year’s game. This year's games were scheduled to open on July 24 and close on Aug. 9. UP CM Yogi transfers INR 611 crore directly to bank accounts of 27.15 lakh workers

Amid the lockdown over the Coronavirus outbreak, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday under the MNREGA scheme transferred INR 611 crore directly to the bank accounts of 27.15 lakh workers of the state. Pregnant woman and husband forced to walk over 100 km without food, rescued by local

A shocking incident took place in Meerut where an 8-month pregnant woman and her migrant husband were forced to walk over 100 km without food. They were on their home when the latter’s employer turned them out without any money. Residents Naveen Kumar and Ravindra noticed the exhausted couple and decided to help them. They informed police about their problem.
