Delhi airport to offer express check-in for passengers with only hand baggage at Terminal 2

The Delhi airport on Friday introduced 'express security check-in' facility at Terminal 2, which will enable domestic passengers with only handbags to head straight to the express lane without getting into the check-in area. The facility will ensure a fast and seamless flow of domestic passengers traveling without any check-in baggage. The Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) has introduced the facility in collaboration with the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). Post UNSC Closed-Door Meet on J&K, Indian Govt calls Kashmir an 'entirely internal matter'

India on Friday said that the country's national position was and remains that decisions on Kashmir are "entirely an internal matter" after Pakistan called for a rare closed-door meeting at the United Nations Security Council to discuss India's move to end the special status of J&K. Syed Akbaruddin, India's envoy to the UN, said the government is gradually removing all restrictions in Kashmir and the government is undertaking steps towards normalcy. India’s UN envoy Syed Akbaruddin charmed Pak journalist by "extending hand of friendship"

India’s Permanent Representative Syed Akbaruddin dramatically called for friendship to Pakistan when a Pakistani journalist complained on Friday about a lack of dialogue between the countries. At a UN event, when a senior Pakistani journalist asked him, “When will you begin a dialogue with Pakistan?” Akbaruddin said, “Let me begin by coming across to you, Give me your hand”. A Pakistani reporter had earlier asked why there was no contact between the neighbors and why India had not responded to requests for talks. “Stop terror to start talks,” Akbaruddin replied. 2G mobile internet services restored in 5 districts of Jammu, as communication blackout phases out slowly

Mobile internet services have been restored by the center in five districts of Jammu region - Jammu, Reasi, Samba, Kathu, and Udhampur on Saturday morning after 12 days of restrictions. However, the communication blackout in Kashmir valley continues. Mobile internet services had been suspended in Jammu and Kashmir on April 5 ahead of the Centre's decision to abrogate Article 370. On Friday, J&K chief secretary, BVR Subrahmanyam announced that telecom connectivity would gradually be restored in the state due to the constant threat of mobile connectivity being used to organize terror attacks.
