Customs officials seizes 1.13 kg gold, foreign currency at Chennai airport

The Customs Department officials have seized 1.13 kg of gold worth INR 44 lakh and foreign currencies from three passengers at Chennai International Airport. The accused have been identified as Shaikh Abdullah, Thamimun Ansari and Abdul Fazid. As per the police, after receiving information and observing their behaviour, the accused were intercepted. Air India’s 2018-19 net loss at INR 8,556.35 crore, highest since its formation

Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said yesterday that Air India Ltd.'s net loss in 2018-19 is provisionally estimated at INR 8,556.35 crore. Air India has been in loss since its merger with Indian Airlines in 2007-08. The loss is biggest since Air-India was formed. The minister also said that the preparation of Preliminary Information Memorandum for inviting Expression of Interest for Air India disinvestment is in process. Man buries ailing wife alive in Goa as he fails to bear the expenses

In the North Goa, a man identified as Tukaram Shetgaonkar has killed his ailing wife Tanvi by burying her alive because he was not able to bear her medical expenses. The incident came into light when Tukaram refused to allow laborers to work at the construction site where he buried his wife's body. However, some laborers found the corpse. 5-year-old boy rescued from borewell in Rajasthan

A 5-year-old toddler identified as Bhimaram was playing in a farm in Siba village situated in Rajasthan when he accidentally fell into a borewell and got stuck at a depth of nearly 15 feet. After being stuck there for as much as six-hour, the rescue team managed to pull him out. Om Kumar, the police official said that land parallel to the borewell was torn open to rescue the boy, who was stuck at nearly 15 feet.
