Tejashwi spent govt funds on bungalow, ACs: Bihar Deputy CM

As per the media reports, Bihar Deputy CM, Sushil Kumar Modi stated, "No investigation has been done regarding the alleged expenses done by Tejashwi on his personal bungalow. Under different officers on different occasions, the government money has been spent on the bungalow. The approval of the cabinet or finance department had been required if the expenditure would have been spent together." Modi's statement came after the state government's construction department secretary Chanchal Kumar gave RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav a clean chit, stating that Tejashwi didn't overused or misused government funds while reconstructing his bungalow.

Ordinance Granting 16% Quota to Marathas Declined by the Supreme Court

Supreme Court has refused to entertain a plea seeking consideration for a petition for an ordinance granting a 16% quota for Marathas in admission to PG medical & dental courses this year in the State. The ordinance further seeks to amend the Socially and Educationally Backward Classes Act to ensure a reservation quota for Maratha students this year. The ordinance was filed by one individual, Sameer against the Bombay High Court.

Delhi Police replies after CM tweets about 9 murders in 24 hours

Delhi Poice responded to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's tweet about 9 murders in 24 hours. The police department on their Twitter handle wrote, "Overall heinous crimes down by 10% this year compared to 2018. Similarly, a heinous crime committed against senior citizens also down by 22%." The Delhi Police tweet came after Kejriwal tweeted, "Delhi is witnessing a dangerous surge in serious crimes. An elderly couple and their domestic help murdered in Vasant Vihar. Nine Murders reported in the last 24 hours across the city. Whose door should be knocked for the safety & security of Delhites."

116 Dalits At Risk: Jignesh Mevani

Jignesh Mevani, an MLA from the Vadgam Assembly Constituency, Gujarat appealed on Twitter to the Government of Gujarat and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for protection of 116 Dalits whom he claims are at risk due to growing intolerance towards Dalits. Before this, he has sought to subvert the caste hierarchy by fighting for their rights. The Dalits hailing from the Kutch region of Gujarat are allegedly attacked for cultivating their lands. In a plea, via Twitter, he is seeking help from the concerned authorities.
