50-year-old mother travels 1,400 kms to bring back stranded son in Andhra Pradesh

50-year-old Razia Begum, teacher by profession travelled 700 km on scooty from Telangana’s Nizamabad district to Nellore, Andhra Pradesh to bring back her 17-year-old son who was stranded there due to the Covid-19 lockdown. It took her three days to cover the total distance. Two men arrested in A'bad for ferrying alcohol in ambulance

The Naroda police in Ahmedabad has arrested two men for allegedly ferrying alcohol in the private ambulance during 21 days of shutdown. According to reports, police recovered 11 polythene bags of country made alcohol. Gujarat being a dry state, saw 80% reduction in liquor trafficking during lockdown. Nearly a third of Bihar's COVID-19 cases from one family

Nearly a third of Bihar's 60 coronavirus cases have been reported from one family in Siwan district, a COVID-19 hotspot about 130 km from state capital Patna. The chain of infection started with one man who returned from Oman last month. The man on March 16 and tested positive for coronavirus on April 4, had travelled to several parts in the district during this period.
