62 Celebrities write against the open letter written by 49 other celebrities to PM Modi over Mob Lynching

62 celebrities and artists including film star Kangana Ranaut, lyricist Prasoon Joshi, classical dancer and MP Sonal Mansingh, filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, Vivek Agnihotri have written an open letter against ‘selective outrage and false narratives’ of 49 celebrities who had earlier written an open letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi over Mob lynching in the country. The letter was titled 'Against Selective Outrage & False Narratives'. The letter read, "It is aimed at tarnishing India's international standing and to negatively portray Prime Minister Modi's untiring efforts to effectuate governance on the foundations of positive nationalism and humanism which is the core of INDIANNESS". Rajasthan: Woman thrashed, paraded naked over son's elopement

In Rajasmand district's Upli Odan village, a woman was allegedly paraded naked. According to the police, the episode occurred after the victim's son fled with a girl from the village. As per the victim's statement, a group of people came to her house and thrashed her with an iron rod and a bamboo stick, accused and held her by her hair and started kicking her. Later, she was paraded naked in the village. According to the police, the victim has suffered injuries on her feet, knees, and back and is undergoing treatment at a hospital.
