20-year-old man, learning to drive, runs over mother; father remains critical

A 20-year-old man identified as Suraj Singh has rammed his MUV car into his mother and father while he was learning to drive it. The woman died on the spot whereas the man is critically injured and admitted to the hospital. As per the media reports, Gyan Singh (55) and his wife Moti Bai (45) sells traditional herbs moving from village to village. On Friday, they set up shop near parked multi-utility vehicle and were displaying their products. At the same time, Suraj didn’t know how to drive, started the vehicle and pressed the accelerator instead of breaks. Src:

Space for income tax relief very limited as centre faces shortfall: report

Three fresh cases have been filed against JNU student Sharjeel Imam for a speech he made against the Citizenship Act at Aligarh Muslim University on January 16.
