ICJ orders Myanmar to take maximum measures to prevent Rohingya genocide

According to media reports, The United Nations’ top court ordered Myanmar take all measures in its power to prevent genocide against the Rohingya and report back within four months on the steps it had taken to comply with its decision. The decision was ruled when the court was hearing a case brought by the African nation of Gambia on behalf of Muslim nations that accused Myanmar of holding a genocidal campaign against the country’s Rohingya Muslims and described mass rapes, the burning of families in their homes and killing of dozens of Muslim Rohingya children with knives in the case. Ajmer announces scheme to encourage people to promote vasectomy with free bikes & Tvs

The Ajmer District Magistrate Vishwa Mohan Sharma has announced a new scheme to encourage people to promote vasectomy among males. According to the scheme, administration will provide free gifts like LED TVs, two-wheelers to those who can convince people to go for a vasectomy. Vasectomy is a surgical procedure for male sterilisation or permanent contraception but can also be reversed, again through surgery. According to government statistics, only 442 males have undergone vasectomy surgery, while 52,000 women opted for sterilisation. Src:

24-year-old woman raped by broker who offered her job in Secunderabad

A 24-year-old woman came to Secunderabad in search for a job and after reaching Secunderabad, she contacted a broker who had allegedly offered to help her. The broker came to meet the woman at a lodge where she was staying and was accompanied by a driver. Allegedly, the two men picked up the woman from the lodge and made her consume alcohol and raped her. According to the police, the accused raped the woman at around 11.30 pm on January 18 and the woman informed the police the next day about the incident. With the help of CCTV footage of the lodge, the police have arrested the accused. Src:

FIR registered against former Cricketer Azharuddin, 2 others for cheating travel agent

Former Indian cricket team captain Mohammad Azharuddin has been charged along with two others for allegedly cheating a travel agent in Aurangabad off INR 21 lakh. Azharuddin has dismissed the allegation and called them baseless. Shahab Mohammad, owner of Danish Tours and Travels agency in Maharashtra's Aurangabad city alleged that he booked various international flight tickets worth INR 20.96 lakh for Azharuddin and two others in November last year on the request of the former India captain's personal assistant Mujib Khan. who repeatedly promised payment online but never paid.
