Bihar: A man convicted for murder after 45 years

Wednesday, a session court of Bihar has pronounced a man identified as Chaturanand Chowdhry (60) guilty in a murder case dating back to 1974 and fixed the date of sentencing as September 25. As per the media reports, the accused had Dhananjay Chowdhury on April 28, 1974, over a dispute of irrigating agriculture land. In all, five persons, Chandra Kishore Chowdhury and his three sons Ravindrakant Chowdhury, Chaturanand Chowdhury and Madan Chowdhury, besides Ramvilas Yadav, were named as accused in the FIR registered at Sanhoula PS on a complaint by Vijay Kant Chowdhury, cousin of the victim. Ghaziabad: Two-year-old boy lost his life after falling into drainage pit

Recently a drainage pit has taken a life of a two-year-old boy. As per the media reports, the boy was playing outside his house and went missing, when the family was searching for the boy, they ended up at the open pit constructed on a private plot of land, barely 10-15 feet away from our house, where the child’s floating legs were found out. Only Pulwama attack-like incident can change people's mood in Maharashtra: Sharad Pawar

Ahead of the Assembly elections, NCP chief Sharad Pawar, during a press conference, stated, "Before Lok Sabha elections, there was an environment of anger and distress against PM Narendra Modi. However, Pulwama attack on CRPF jawans had changed the entire scenario". Pawar further said that now people's mind can be changed only with other Pulwama attack-like situation. "I have worked in Defence. When I talked to some officials that time I suspected the attack was deliberately orchestrated or Pakistan may be behind it", he claimed. Pawar added that BJP will suffer loss in the assembly elections as the expectations of people from nationalists have increased. "No such work was done that Fadnavis will come back to power", Pawar included. Assembly elections to elect the 288 members of Legislative Assembly will be held later this year. Andhra Pradesh: Visakhapatnam police destroyed cannabis worth Rs 13 Cr

In Andhra Pradesh's Visakhapatnam city, police have destroyed around 63,879 kgs of cannabis seized from various smugglers at Kapuluppda dumping yard. As per media reports, the cannabis, commonly known as ganja, worth Rs 13 Cr were burnt in the presence of drug disposal committee.
