In Kolkata's Hubli city, the Karnataka Congress leader VS Ugrappa, in an interview, called PM Modi a 'Bhasmasur' and Amit Shah a 'Shani'. Ugrappa further said that BJP is now projecting emotional issues instead of solving the core issues like unemployment, economic crisis, and poverty that the nation is facing at present. He added that without solving the core issues, the BJP and Sangh Parivar are trying to project only emotional issues. Thereby, they are diverting the attention of the people. Amarinder Singh to raise funds issue under Post Matric Scholarship scheme with PM Modi

Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh, while reviewing the progress of the post-matric scholarship scheme, stated that he will request PM Modi to intervene for the immediate release of INR 780 Cr under the centrally-sponsored scheme for the year 2017-18 without any further delay. Singh further asked the Finance Department to immediately release the state's pending share of INR 57 Cr so that the necessary utilisation certificate can be submitted to the Centre for enabling an early release of their outstanding share of INR 309 Cr for the said period. AAI makes necessary arrangements for screening of passengers at Chennai airport

In the wake of an outbreak of infection caused by a newly identified strain of coronavirus, the Airport Authority of India (AAI) had made all necessary arrangements at the Chennai airport for the health screening of passengers arriving from China. As per media reports, the airport has been provided with logistics support with regards to the screening of passengers as per the instructions by the Airport Health Organisation (APHO).
