Kerala Govt reduces fines under the new Motor Vehicles Act

The Kerala Government led by The Communist Party of India (Marxist) reduces the fine for traffic offences under the New Motor Vehicles Amendment Act 2019. Fine for driving without helmet and seat belt has been reduced to INR 500 from INR 1,000 fine whereas, fine for using the mobile phone has been reduced to 2,000 instead of 10,000. No changes in fine for under age driving has been made. As per the media report, State Transport Minister AK Saseendran stated that there was a general complaint about high fines so govt decided to reduce it slightly. Src:

Sunny’s ‘Ujda Chaman’ to release a week before Ayushmann’s ‘Bala’

Sunny Chopra’s movie Ujda Chaman will release a week before Ayushmann Khurrana’s Bala. Both the films have the same concept and were fighting a case over copyright violation and release date. The conclusion comes that the movie Ujda Chaman will release on November 1 as they had announced their film first. SEBI and SEC to investigate Infosys’s whistleblower complaints

Recently, the U.S Securities and Exchange Commission(SEC) had launched an investigation into whistleblower claims that the company used 'unethical practices' to boost revenue and profit whereas the Security and Exchange Board of India(SEBI) had also started preliminary inquiry against the allegations. Both SEBI and SEC could make use of the International Organization of Securities Commissions’ multilateral memorandum of understanding (MmoU) on information sharing and cooperation.
