Covid-19: Gujarat couple held for harassing woman doctor

A Couple in Surat was arrested after they harassed a woman doctor and taunted her amid coronavirus outbreak. As per the reports, the doctor works in the Civil hospital and lives in the neighbourhood of the couple. According to doctor's claim, the couple repeatedly banged at her door and asked her if she was infected. BJP leader Manju Tiwari suspended for firing gunshots to mark PM's 'light diyas' appeal

As per reports, Manju Tiwari, president of Balrampur (UP) unit of BJP Mahila Morcha was suspended by the party for indiscipline, after she fired gunshots to mark PM Narendra Modi's appeal to light lamps to show solidarity against COVID-19. A video showing Tiwari engaging in celebratory firing surfaced on social media and was criticized for the same. Tiwari was booked under sections of IPC and Arms Act. Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao plans to extend lockdown in the state till June 3

As the number of Coronavirus cases rising, Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao announced lockdown in the state till June 3. However, later he clarified that the lockdown will be extended for 2 more weeks (after April 15). Reportedly he took a reference from the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) report which suggested lockdown in India will be good until June 3. Kerala High Court permits 14-year-old rape survivor to abort 24-week-old foetus

As per reports, Kerala High Court allowed a 14-year-old rape survivor to terminate a 24-week-old foetus while keeping in view her reproductive choices. The bench stated, "Although it is subject to restrictions imposed under Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act, we find the report of the Medical Board justifies the decision.” The board further said the pregnancy would pose risk to her mental and physical health.
