Jammu and Kashmir: Around 575 young boys joins Indian Army

In Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar, to fight for the country, around 575 young boys have joined the Indian Army's Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JKLI) Battalion. Lieutenant General Ashwin Kumar reviewed the young soldiers passing out parade. Lieutenant stated, "The standard of the parade today was no less than the passing out parade we have in officer training academies". Assam Final NRC list released, excludes 19,06,657 people, 3.11 Cr make it to citizenship list

In Assam, the final version of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) has released today and out of 3.29 Cr applicants, 3.11 Cr have made it to the final list, excluding the remaining 19 lakh people. Till date, the NRC is the biggest drive to verify citizenship in India which focuses on identifying illegal immigrants who entered and settled in Assam from Bangladesh, after March 25, 1971, and deport them back. NRC state coordinator Prateek Hajela stated that a total of 19,06,657 names have been left out in the final list as they failed to submit their claims. Gurugram: Man proposes marriage to 32-year-old woman, sexually assaults her for seven months

In Gurugram, a man allegedly sexually assaulted a 32-year-old woman (a nurse by profession) for around seven months after promising to marry her. According to the woman, the accused visited her house and allegedly sexually assaulted her on multiple occasions. He was also putting pressure on her to disassociate herself from her nine-year-old daughter who lived with her, saying that they were going to get married soon. According to the reports, the accused had allegedly threatened the woman of uploading her obscene videos and pictures on social media and asked the woman to get a divorce from her husband.
