Kolkata cops chase 15 kms and rescued deaf and mute woman from kidnapping

The Kolkata police got a tip-off from a person and they chased a truck for 15 km. The driver identified as Abul Sheikh had kidnapped a deaf and mute woman with the intention of raping her. When the police asked the Abul to come out, he started driving after that the police tracked him and found a woman with tied hands and legs from the driver’s cabin inside the truck. Rajya Sabha passes Bill providing ownership rights to unauthorized colonies in Delhi

Recently the Parliament has passed a bill to grant the ownership rights to residents living in 1,731 unauthorized colonies in Delhi. The National Capital Territory of Delhi (Recognition of Property Rights of Residents in Unauthorised Colonies) stated that there has been a phenomenal increase in the population in the national capital in the last few decades due to the migration and other factors. Govt authorises Coast Guard members to search and seize suspicious vessels within Economic Zone

The Ministry of Defence, in a notification, expressed that in exercise of powers presented by sub-section (3) of section 121 of the Coast Guard Act, 1978 (30 of 1978), the Central Government has authorize each member from the Coast Guard, established under section 4 of the said Act to visit, board, search, and seize suspicious vessels within an Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) and its continental shelf.
