Total shutdown ordered in Nagaland's Dimapur

Amid 21-days nationwide lockdown, the district administration of Dimapur in Nagaland has ordered the complete shutdown of all shops, commercial, private establishments, and imposed total restrictions on movement public transport and public for 66 hours with effect from 6 am on Wednesday. 128 Coronavirus cases in India linked to Delhi Mosque event

The 2,000 people who attended the Tablighi Jamaat event have been evacuated from a building in south Delhi's Nizamuddin after 128 people tested positive for COVID-19. Over hundreds of people had been staying at "Markaz Nizamuddin", the Delhi headquarters of the Tablighi Jamaat group. The authorities started evacuating the place from Monday amid a nationwide search for suspected COVID-19 cases after 7 cases linked to the place found positive. 315 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in India in a single day

In a sharp increase of Coronavirus cases, on Tuesday 82 new cases were reported from Maharashtra where as Tamil Nadu recorded 57 and other 7 states recorded new cases, nearly doubling the previous day's record. The total cases in India have reached to 1618 and the number of deaths have reached to 52 so far. Delhi Police summons 10 Jamia students for questioning in Dec 15 violence

As per reports, the Crime Branch of Delhi Police on Thursday has issued notices to 10 students of Jamia Millia Islamia University asking them to appear before it for questioning in the December 15 violence that ensued at the varsity. The students have been identified through the footage from CCTV installed in the varsity. On December 15 last year, Delhi Police burst into the campus, threw tear gas shells and allegedly assaulted students. Protests broke out in the university on the next day that led to buses and vehicles being set ablaze in some parts of South Delhi. Src: https://bit.ly/37KL0gr
