The two Supreme Court officials identified as Manav Sharma and Tapan Kumar Chakraborty were arrested by Delhi police for tampering court order in Anil Ambani case The controversy erupted after Court passed an order which stated, “personal appearance of the alleged contemnor is dispensed with” was revised to, “personal appearance of the alleged contemnor is not dispensed with’.The two officials are sacked from the post by CJI Ranjan Gogoi.

11.72% decline in heinous crimes: Delhi Police

The Delhi Police has claimed that there has been an 11.72% decline in heinous crimes in the national capital. The police added that there has been a decline in crimes against women as 5,787 cases were registered in 2018 compared to 5,955 in 2017.
