Delhi: High Court rules that farmhouses cannot be used as banquet halls

Delhi High Court ruled that farmhouses in Delhi cannot operate as banquet halls hosting weddings and other functions. Justice Vibhu Bakhru ruled that the high court does not permit the farmhouses to function as banquet halls, and that banquet halls are permissible only in industrial and commercial areas. On July 1, DPCC had directed the closure of a farmhouse after it was found that the farmhouse was being used as a banquet hall. The DPCC’s inspecting team had also observed dry-sludge in the premises and the Sewage Treatment Plant was also non-operational. Src: https://bit.ly/2Y68pcb
