CBIC destroys prohibited drugs, narcotics worth INR 79 Cr

The customs formations under the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) carried out an all India destruction of an enormous quantity of seized prohibited Narcotics and Psychotropic Drugs and Substances (NDPS) worth INR 79 Cr. The substances destroyed include Cannabis, Heroin, Ephedrine, Ketamine, Ecstasy, Amphetamine, etc. The Ministry of Finance stated that this is for the first time ever that narcotics and psychotropic drugs and substances have been destroyed in an all India operation. No restriction on the visit of Indian citizens to J&K: Govt

While addressing the parliament, the Minister of State for Home Affairs Kishan Reddy informed that there are no restrictions on the visit of any Indian citizen to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He responded to a question seeking to know the time by which the government proposes to allow Indian delegates to visit Jammu and Kashmir. Mother set ablaze outside police station after daughter refuses to change her mind

In Maharashtra’s Nashik, a 45-year-old woman named Harjinder Kaur set herself on fire outside the police station. The police said that Kaur and her husband were convincing their daughter to go back to her husband and in-laws. When the daughter refused to change her mind, frustrated Kaur went outside the police station and poured on her body and immolated herself. UP teacher Zaidi claims threat to life after she visits Shaheen Bagh protest

In Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, a school teacher Nahid Zaidi claimed there is a threat to her life because she visited Delhi’s Shaheen Bagh. Zaidi said that around 200 local residents entered the school during recess and raised slogan against her. Due to that incident, she was suspended from the school.
