Defence Minister's remarks on nuclear policy ambiguous: Congress

Congress spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi stated that everybody stands backs the nation and the govt as far as "defence, sovereignty, and nuclear policy" are concerned. He further said, "However, with this somewhat ambiguous statement, the Defence Minister either intends to keep us guessing or seeks to announce a change in policy...The country will be happy to know what the new policy is. But it should not be in ambiguous half-phrases but a full one paragraph declared policy". Singh added that the Congress will welcome the new policy and will stand behind it. This came after Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated that India follows 'no first use' policy regarding nuclear weapons and what happens in the future will depend on circumstances. BJP banning only Goans from Casinos is against 'One Law, One Country' Principle: Congress

Congress party spokesperson Trajano D'Mello while addressing a press conference at the Goa's Congress headquarters said if the BJP believes in the 'one law, one country' principle, how can it propose a law banning Goans from entering casinos while allowing domestic tourists to enter. He added, "If Sawant believes that casinos are poison for Goans, how can they be honey to those from the rest of India?" The statement comes after Goa's Chief Minister Pramod Sawant had told the state legislative assembly that entry of native Goans would be banned from the onshore and offshore casinos in the state.
