Chhattisgarh: Mock funeral procession of Pakistan's PM taken out

In Chhattisgarh's Raipur region, a group of people took out a mock funeral procession of Pakistan's PM Imran Khan, protesting against his rhetoric on the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and the threat to use nuclear weapons against India. A protestor said, "Muslims in this country are united and are with the country in every situation. If a bullet is fired from Pakistan, we would be the one to take on our chests". The procession was organised by co-convenor of Muslim Rashtriya Manch, Salim Ram. Salim stated that the Pakistani PM wanted to divide people on religious line. "Imran Khan himself is not a devoted Muslim. He has five wives and he even consumes liquor", he added. Src: https://bit.ly/2HwFTX0

Those who go to jail become leaders: J&K Governor on detained politicians

Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik, when asked about the continued detention of three former Chief Ministers, Farooq Abdullah, Omar Abdullah, and Mehbooba Mufti and other politicians, in J&K, Malik stated, "Don’t you want that people should become leaders. I've gone to jail 30 times. Those who go to jail will become leaders. Let them be there. The more the politicians spend time in the jail, the more they'll claim during elections...I spent six months in detention". He further said, “So if you sympathise with them, do not be sad over detention. And they all are in their homes. I was jailed in Fatehgarh during the emergency where it used to take two days to reach. If someone is detained is any issue, if he is wise, he will take political benefit. I am wishing them all”.
