COVID-19 scare: Indian Army postpones 90 different training courses

Amid Coronavirus outbreak across the country, the Indian Army has decided to immediately postpone 90 different courses involving officers and jawans across India. According to sources of the Army, it is important to avoid all large congregations involving near personal interaction and to postpone public gathering. The sources further stated that a total of 90 courses are to commence during the period from March 16 to April 15, involving the movement of 6,000 personnel including officers, Junior Commissioned Officers and other ranks from different units and formations to establishments of category A. Rajasthan govt orders ban on gathering of over 50 people in public places till March 31

As per the directions from Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, the Rajasthan government on Tuesday banned all gatherings at public places exceeding 50 people till March 31 to fight the coronavirus outbreak. It was further added that the ban will be in force till March 31 after which the situation will be reviewed and the appropriate decision taken. Have asked railways to screen passengers for COVID-19: Maharashtra govt informs HC

The Maharashtra government informed Bombay High Court on Tuesday it has requested the railways to screen passengers for the novel coronavirus as is being done at all domestic and international airports across the state to stop the spread of Covid-19. The government added that it has not received any response as yet. There has been one death in the state and 39 people have tested positive for the novel coronavirus so far in Maharashtra.
