Budgam Mi-17 crash : IAF takes action against 6 officers, 2 to face trail

Recently, the Indian Air Force took action against the officials who had committed the blunder after IAF chief Air Chief Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauri said that shooting down the Indian chopper in Jammu and Kashmir was a big mistake. According to media reports, defence sources stated that two officers, including a Group Captain and a Wing Commander, would be tried by a Court-Martial for their lapses in the case due to which six IAF personnel were killed in friendly fire. No written or oral exams in pre-school, for children agede 3-6 : NCERT

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has announced that no children should be made to give written or oral exams in pre- school. According to media reports, the council does not want children to have a stage where they are labelled as fail or pass. An official stated that currently in the country, pre-school programmes ranging from those that put children to a dull and monotonous routine to those where children are exposed to structured formal learning, often in English, made to do tests and homework, and denied their right to play. These are the undesirable further and harmful practice that results from misguided parental aspiration. The guidelines have also defined parameters for infrastructure, qualifications and salary for preschool staff, supervision mechanism and importance of coordination and convergence with community and parents and registers to be maintained. WhatsApp may get to launch payment service in 2 months: NPCI

The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has stated that WhatsApp will be compliant with data localisation norms over the next two months, post which it can roll out its payment service. NPCI Chief Executive Dilip Asbe, in an interview, stated that even after the launch of WhatsApp's payment service, it will take at least two years to reduce the cash dominance in the economy as the user base of digital payments must at least treble to 300 million to have any tangible impact on paring cash usage. Sports Ministry decides to make sporting infrastructure accessible to all

Ministry of Sports has decided to allow National and State Sports Federations, Leagues, and Clubs to organise sports events in all sporting facilities owned by the govt, free of cost, to provide impetus to the Fit India Movement. Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju, in an official statement, expressed that the Sports Ministry has at its disposal some of the best sporting infrastructures of the country, and needs to be utilised for the benefit of promoting the sporting culture and ecosystem in the country.
