Supporting the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), a groom identified as Amit Kumar has printed a slogan showing his support to the newly enacted legislation on his marriage invitation card. As per the media reports, the man has printed a picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and written "I support the decision of the Prime Minister and it is in the interest of the country. Over 800 workers in TN arrested for protesting against Modi govt's 'anti-labour' policies

In Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore district, over 800 workers of eight trade unions including two MPs of Left parties have been arrested while attempting to stage a demonstration as part of the nationwide strike to protest against BJP-led govt's 'anti-labour' policies. CPI Lok Sabha MP and AITUC president, K Subbaryan and CPI(M) MP, PR Natarajan had led the demonstration near the district collectorate.
