Odisha: Determined Female teacher wades through neck high water to perform her teaching duty

49-year-old Binodani Samal from Odisha is a fearless woman & teacher who chose not to kneel down in front of disastrous weather condition. This lady along with Headmistress Kananbala Mishra daily crosses swollen Sapua river every monsoon to perform her teaching duties at Rathiapala Primary school. “For me, work matters than anything else. What would I do sitting at home”, said Samal who teaches 53 students & presently earns 7,000 per month. Samal further said a bridge was proposed to be built but it is yet to be materialized. Samal’s story came in light after her photos of crossing gushing river with neck-high water went viral. Wrestler Babita Phogat quits Haryana police after joining BJP

Indian Wrestler Babita Phogat has resigned from the Haryana Police after joining BJP. “I had joined the party, you can only join the party after submitting resignation else it would have been a conflict of interest", she said. Phogat asserted that she had tendered her resignation letter when she and her father Mahaveer Phogat had joined the BJP party on August 12. 3 JeM terrorists held in J&K with AK-56, ak-47 rifles

In Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district, the police have arrested three Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorists and recovered four AK-56, two AK-47 rifles, six rifle magazines and 180 live rounds from their possession. A senior police officer stated that after receiving information, the team conducted a search operation and seized a truck which was on the way to Kashmir from Punjab carrying Rs 11,000 cash. The officer added, “However, this will be too early to say if these arms and ammunitions were a part of any terror design”. The police have registered a case under relevant sections of the IPC.
