Recently a man identified as Kalia Manna was awarded the death penalty under POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) act for raping and murdering a nine-year-old girl in Gadaharishpur on March 21, last year. Public prosecutor Siba Majhi has said, “Accused Laba Manna had raped and murdered the minor girl in a cashew field in Gadaharishpur under Erasama police limits. The accused forcibly took the girl and raped and murdered." Do you think that the death penalty was sufficient for such a horrible act or should he be hanged in public?
