As per the media reports, Vinesh is now out of the gold medal contention and will face Thi Ly Kieu of Vietnam in the bronze medal match. Recently the Indian wrestler, Vinesh Phogat has performed magnificently and won the Gold for Indian in the ongoing Rome ranking series Matteo Pellicone. Vinesh has defeated Ecuador's Luisa Elizabeth Valverde by 4-0 to secure the first position in the 53kg category. On her way to the gold medal, she defeated Ukraine's Khrystyna Bereza and China's Lannuan Luo by technical superiority. After then that Phogat defeated Chinese wrestler Qianyu Pang by 4-2 in semis. Vinesh Phogat wins bronze after securing 2020 Olympics berth
