UP Govt files case against journalist for images of only roti with salt served as mid-day meal in school

Days after students at a government school in UP were filmed eating rotis with salt as their mid-day meal under a flagship scheme of the central government, a case has been filed by the state government against the journalist who shot the video. The Block Education Officer of the area has accused the journalist, Pawan Jaiswal, and a local village head of a conspiracy to defame the Uttar Pradesh government. In the video from the Mirzapur school, young children are seen sitting on the floor of the school corridor, eating rotis with salt. Haryana: Class 1 student booked for rape attempt on classmate

In Haryana's Sirsa region, a class 1 boy studying in a govt school has been booked for attempting to rape his classmate. The police came to know about the incident after the doctors (who were treating the victim) contacted them. A senior police officer stated that they got a complaint from the victim's mother. She said that one of her daughter's classmate attempted to rape her in the school during the lunch break. The police added that the identity of the accused is yet to be discovered as the victim stated that she doesn’t know him but can recognise him by face. The officer included that the victim will be taken to the school to identify the accused. Though, there is no provision of punishment under the law if a child is below seven years. 207 youths join Ladakh Scouts Regiment

In Ladakh's Leh area, a parade was organised at the Ladakh Scouts Regimental Centre which was conducted with the most elevated customs of the Indian Army and was attended by Lieutenant General YK Joshi, Academy Sergeant Major (ACSM). The function was attended by a range of civil and military dignitaries including war legends of the regiment and parents of the recruits. Lt General Joshi stated, "I congratulate them for the impressive parade and urge them to devote their life in service of the nation as proud soldiers of the Indian Army". Abbrogation of Article 370: Naqvi flags off bike rally to Kashmir to spread message of 'Ek Vidhan, Ek Samvidhan'

To celebrate the abrogation of Article 370 and to spread the message of 'Ek Vidhan, Ek Samvidhan' (One Legislative, One Constitution), Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi flagged off a bike rally to Kashmir. Naqvi stated, "The bike rally is to send the message of 'Ek Vidhan, Ek Samvidhan' in all rural and urban areas. After the Abrogation of Article 370, it is essential to make awareness among masses about its positive outcomes". He added that the Kashmiri youths will get inspired by the rally. "All should come together. We will spread the message of 'Ek Vidhan, Ek Samvidhan'. All bikers will carry Indian flags with them throughout rally", Naqvi included.
