Farooq Abdullah detained under Public Safety Act

Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah has been detained under Public Safety Act- a stringent law in a person can be kept under detention for over 2 years without trial. The formal order came when the Supreme court heard the petition challenging the detention of Abdullah. The leader was so far kept under “unofficial” house arrest at his home in Srinagar but a month later was formally charged. Other leaders including Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti have been kept under detention since the abrogation of Article 370 as part of center’s attempt to prevent trouble over its decision. Is it right to keep prominent leaders in detention for so long? Comment below! Src:https://bit.ly/2micRm3

Kamal Haasan warns Centre over One Nation, One language; says battle for our language will be bigger than Jallikattu (bull fight)

Actor-turned-Politician Kamal Haasan warned BJP govt against the push for Hindi language saying that the fight against imposing ‘One Nation, One Language’ will be much bigger than the Jallikattu protest. “No Shah, Sultan or Samrat should renege on that promise. We respect all languages but our mother language will always be Tamil”, the actor said. Further reacting on the matter the actor expressed, “Jallikattu was just a protest. The battle for our language will be exponentially bigger than that. India or Tamil Nadu does not need or deserve such a battle”. Should usage of Hindi be made mandatory countrywide? What's your take?
