Economic slowdown due to liberalisation policy started in 1991: KN Govindacharya

Ahead of the two-day national convention of Rashtriya Swabhiman Andolan, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) idealist and a passionate supporter of the Swadeshi Movement, KN Govindacharya, in an interview, expressed, "The present recession in the economy is because of the policy of liberalisation started in 1991. The manufacturing has gone down, the contribution of agriculture in GDP has reduced". He further said that it’s time for India to embrace the idea of "nature-centric development" as a paradigm rather than consumption-based GDP estimation. "We must set a favourable example for the world by balancing prosperity with Indian traditions and culture. Enrichment of nature is development", Govindacharya included. Src: https://bit.ly/2lP4HBk

Lost faith in the govt: Madras High Court after death of Chennai techie who died as banner fell on her

Following the death of Chennai techie Subhashree, who died after a banner of AIADMK fell on her, the Madras High Court expressed that they are tired of passing multiple order against the illegal flex boards. "There is zero respect for lives in this country. It's bureaucratic empathy", added the Court. The bench of Justices M Sathyanarayanan and N Seshasayee included that the officials who are sucking the blood of the people are more loyal to a party than to the govt. Subhashree, a 23-year-old woman, working in a software company was run by a water tanker as she fell on the road when an illegal hoarding put up by a ruling AIADMK functionary fell on her.
