Center asks to clear overdue payments of PSUs by October 15 to boost economic growth

The government on Saturday set October 15 as the deadline for central Public Sector undertakings (PSUs) to clear overdue payments to vendors and contractors as it looks to lift economic growth from six-year low by boosting expenditure. According to media, Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman said,” PSUs have been asked to detail lifespan of arbitrations that lock payments after disputes with vendors and contractor and firms have also been asked to submit spending plans for the next four quarters”. Uttar Pradesh: constable misuses service gun, after Dhaba owner tells him food is over

Recently a Ghaziabad police constable has allegedly fired two bullets in the air at a Dhaba, after having a verbal dispute with the owner. As per the media reports, the eatery's owner told the police officer that food was over for the day. After hearing this the official misused his service revolver in fired 2 shots in the air. Uttar Pradesh: 6 dead, several injured in firecracker factory blast

Recently at least six people have lost their lives while many others were brutally injured in a blast which occurred in a firecracker factory in Etah situated in Uttar Pradesh. As per the media reports, the intensity of the explosion was so tremendous that scores of people were feared trapped beneath the debris of the house. The police officials have informed that they are trying to find out the reason behind the blast.
