An incident took place in Rajasthan’s Jaipur where an intensive care unit (ICU) in charge named Ramamurthy Meena skip his mother’s last rites due to Coronavirus. His mother Bholi Devi passed away on March 30 but the call of duty was stronger, as Meena was attending on coronavirus patient. India's GDP growth could fall to 1.6% this fiscal: Goldman Sachs

As per the forecast by Goldman Sachs, India's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth could fall to 1.6% in 2020-21 compared to its previous estimate of 3.3%. In its report Goldman said that the COVID-19 pandemic has brought "an unprecedented sudden stop" to activity in India. West Bengal govt to allow home delivery of liquor during lockdown

According to sources, the Mamata Banerjee-led West Bengal government has decided to allow home delivery of liquor during the lockdown period in the state. Sources further reported that in the Excise Directorate of West Bengal government, there is no prohibition on sale of liquor during the lockdown. However, most liquor shops have remained shut due to the lockdown and will continue to remain shut, they say. Sources said only backend supply can be resumed via home delivery.
