Mumbai girl Kaamya becomes youngest in world to climb South America's highest peak

An official has reported on Sunday that a 12-year old Mumbai student, Kaamya Karthikeyan has set a record of becoming the youngest in the world to summit Mount Aconcagua, the highest peak in South America (6,962 meters). Karthikeyan unfurled the tricolor after reaching the top. She had also summited Ladakh's 6,260 meters Mount Mentok Kangri II in August 2019. Gargi College students hold protest against mass molestation, Delhi Police launches probe

Hundreds of students of the all-women Gargi College on Monday held a protest against the alleged molestation of students by a group of men who had gatecrashed a cultural festival. The Delhi Police said it has launched a probe into the incident and is scanning CCTV footage. Police, however, have not received a complaint in this regard. Students and teachers posted on social media about the incident. As per their posts, during the college festival, 'Reverie', around 6:30 pm on Sunday, groups of unruly, drunk men mobbed the entrances of the college and forced their way in. SC adjourns hearing in plea against Delhi HC order in 2016 JNU sedition case

In a petition filed against the Delhi High Court order, the Supreme Court (SC) has adjourned the hearing, refusing to pass any order for approval by the Delhi State of NCT for trial in the 2016 JNU sedition case. The matter has been adjourned for a week by a bench of the Apex Court, headed by Chief Justice of India SA Bobde. Petitioner Shashank Deo has sought guidance from the respondents, including the GNCT, Delhi, to issue guidelines for prompt prosecution in all sensitive criminal and corruption-related cases where the charges are serious in nature and have widespread deterrent repercussions on the society. Coronavirus onset: India sets aside export ban in China, sends masks and gloves for medics

In the midst of the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak, India has allowed at least two major consignments of protective clothing, including masks, to be exported immediately to China apart from the export ban on personal protective equipment imposed on February 1.
