With Delhi's air quality reaching severe+ quality this morning,the Supreme Court has declared a public health emergency in the region and has banned construction until November 5. The Environment Pollution (Prevention and Control) Authority also banned the bursting of crackers during the winter season. The overall Air Quality Index (AQI) of the capital has reached 259. Indian Army wants homosexuality and adultery to remain as punishable offences to maintain the discipline among the officers. The conduct of Army is governed by the Army Act and the act had provisions of punishment in such cases under the article 46 of the act but now the punishments will be given under article 45 (performing an ungraceful or unnatural act) of the same act and may result in the loss of officer rank if a person found guilty as said by General Ashwani Kumar, Adjutant General of Army. According to a report by NITI Aayog: Indian adolescents not eating & exercising right

In a report by NITI Aayog Indian adolescents have increased risk of diabetes, heart diseases because of the low levels of physical activity among teenagers. Half of 243 million Indian adolescents which suffers from obesity or are overweight, comes in the age group of 10-19 years. Over 80% of adolescents suffer from ‘hidden hunger'. The report also states adolescent girls especially suffer multiple nutritional deprivations adding that Anemia also affects 40% of adolescent girls, compared to 18% of boys, and worsens as they get old. To combat plastic usage, 45-year-old Sameera Satija, a Central government employee from Gurugram, has taken a considerable step by setting up a steel utensil bank called 'Crockery Bank for Everyone'. The bank has all kinds of utensils from spoons to plates for free which can be taken on rent, and it focuses on meeting large-scale needs for social and religious gatherings. To get these utensils, anyone can drop a message on the Facebook page of the initiative and can collect the utensils through their government-approved ID cards.
