The monetary policy committee (MPC) of the RBI today, to everyone’s surprise, decided to keep its repo rate steady at 5.15%. The RBI today also revised its GDP growth outlook for 2019-20 downwards to 5%, from 6.1% in the October policy. The economy grew at just 4.5% annually in the June-September quarter, which is the weakest pace since 2013. The GDP data released last month showed government spending was helping to support the weak demand, but private investment growth had collapsed. Src: https://bit.ly/34Sagkc
