Preserve India's biodiversity: PM Modi in 'Mann Ki Baat'

PM Narendra Modi, in his monthly 'Mann Ki Baat' radio address, stated that India's biodiversity is a unique treasure for the entire humankind and urged people to preserve and conserve it. Modi further said that what people know is just a handful of sand. What they do not know is like a universe in itself. SC order on permanent commission to women very enabling, says Army Chief MM Naravane

Recently the Indian Army Chief General MM Naravane has termed the Supreme Court judgment on permanent commissioning of women "very enabling". He has said that the Supreme Court judgment will give us a lot of clarity in moving forward and after this Indian Army’s first task at hand is to comply with the SC order. Earlier a bench of Justices DY Chandrachud and Ajay Rastogi had rejected the Centre's submission that women officers cannot be granted PCs due to physiological limitations, the all-male environment in a unit.
