Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal declared that his government is focused on giving free rides to women in metro trains. This came after the Centre stated that it has not received any proposal from AAP administration. Arvind Kejriwal, on his Twitter handle, wrote, "On our request, Delhi Metro has submitted its proposal. In principle, their proposal is agreeable to us. However, Delhi govt is studying its detail. Tamil Nadu: 3 sanitation workers suffocated to death

In Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore, three sanitation workers lost their lives due to breathing toxic gas while they were cleaning a septic tank. All three deceased were moved to Coimbatore Government Hospital for post-mortem. The identities of those who were killed are yet to be proclaimed. Police have registered a case and further inquiry is in the procedure. Earlier, in Gujarat, four sanitation workers lost their lives while cleaning a hotel's septic tank. Maharashtra: Get 50 paisa on returning used plastic milk packets

Maharashtra Government, to inspire the reusing of plastic milk pouches in the state, has announced a refundable amount of 50 paise per plastic packet of milk. In the wake of the plastic ban in the state, the government has approached with the concept. When the customer returns an empty milk packet after consumption, the retailer will return a refundable amount of 50 paise per plastic packets. Amit Shah distributes cheques to kin of BJP workers killed by terrorists in J&K

In Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar, Union Home Minister, Amit Shah distributed cheques to families of BJP workers who were killed by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir in the ongoing month. BJP's State Unit President Ravinder Raina also attended the event. In Srinagar, Shah met village heads in which J&K Governor Satya Pal Malik likewise attended the meeting. Later Amit Shah and Satya Pal Malik organized a gathering over security arrangements and law and order situation in the state.
