Six Indians arrested for smuggling gold in Sri Lanka
Six Indians have been arrested by the Sri Lankan authorities for allegedly attempting to smuggle gold worth ₹30 Lakhs to India: as per a report. The smugglers were detained at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo and had concealed the gold biscuits in their luggage as well as the pockets of their trousers and their rectum. The accused were trying to smuggle the gold to Chennai and have been arrested. They are all in their mid 40's, as reported in primary investigations. Further investigations are being conducted by airport customs.
