No documents are pending, says Delhi Court and rejects plea of Nirbhaya convicts

The Delhi Court has rejected the petitions of Nirbhaya gang-rape and murdered convicts. The convict's lawyer claimed that Tihar Jail has not issued all documents to file the curative and mercy petition for his clients, responding to that Delhi Court said that no documents are pending and all the documents have been supplied by Tihar jail authorities. Lawyer A P Singh claimed that one of the convicts Vinay Sharma's diary and medical documents needed to file the mercy petition for him. Nirbhaya Case convict Mukesh Singh asked mercy from president

Recently Mukesh Singh, who is one of the four convicts in the Nirbhaya case whose execution is just a week away has filed a mercy petition to President Ram Nath Kovind. Unless the appeal is accepted, he, along with three other convicts in the case, is to be hanged at 7 am on January 22. The other three convicts hadn’t applied for the same. Samajwadi Party says they will provide pension to anti-CAA protesters if voted to power

Members of the Samajwadi Party has promised pension to anti-CAA protesters if they are voted to power. The statement was first made by Ram Govind Chaudhary, a senior Samajwadi Party leader, he also added that they give the award of 'Samvidhan Rakshak' on all those who protested against the Citizenship Amendment Act.
