No ex-cricketer wants to work for BCCI as honorary member due to clause 38: Ganguly

Former Indian Cricket Team captain and BCCI president Sourav Ganguly criticizing the clause 38 (Conflict of interest), said that none of the ex-cricketers wants to work as an honorary member of the board because of the clause. Ganguly also alleged that the BCCI hasn’t been able to form the Cricket Advisory Committee as none of the ex-cricketers are willing to come forward to work for the committee. There have been cases where former cricketers Tendulkar, Dravid, VVS Laxman and Ganguly himself had to resign from their respective designation due to the allegations of conflict of interest. Recently, the Delhi government has rejected the mercy petition of one of the culprits in the Nirbhaya rape case. The victim’s mother Asha Devi expressed that there are few loopholes in the country’s judicial system. When she was asked about the recent Hyderabad Dr. Priyanka Reddy's case, she condemned the incident and said that the country is setting the wrong example by keeping rapists alive. Uddhav Thackeray orders to review on-going development projects including bullet train

After the Aarey forest project, Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray has ordered to review all on-going development projects in Maharashtra. The projects also included the controversial bullet train project. Although, Uddhav has cleared that he hadn't put a stay on the bullet train project like Aarey car shed. 15 dies after wall collapses in Tamil Nadu’s Mettupalayam area

On 2nd December, three houses collapsed due to heavy rainfall in Tamil Nadu’s Mettupalayam near the Coimbatore district, where at least 15 people including 3 men, 10 women, and 3 children lost their lives. The police claimed that there are several people who are still trapped and the rescue operations are underway. Tamil Nadu CM Edappadi K. Palaniswami announced 4 lakh compensation for the victims.
