Asia Cup shifted from Pakistan after BCCI objects, confirms Sourav Ganguly

The president of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Sourav Ganguly has recently revealed that upcoming Asia Cup 2020 has been moved from Pakistan and will now be held in Dubai. Former Indian captain added that both India and Pakistan will now be participating in the tournament. Earlier, the BCCI had said they have "no problem with Pakistan hosting the tournament, provided it is held at a neutral venue." Sourav Ganguly the former captain of the Indian Cricket team got elected as the new president of BCCI. When asked about his take on the resumption of bilateral cricket ties between India and Pakistan he said that this question should be asked to our Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his counterpart Imran Khan who are the stakeholders for any relation between Pakistan and India. After the Pulwama incident, pointing towards Pakistan, BCCI advised ICC to sever out the countries which gave place for terrorism in their territory. Saurav Ganguly appointed as the President of BCCI

Former Indian Captain Sourav Ganguly has been appointed as the President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). As per media reports, the hint of the same was dropped late on Sunday and the news was confirmed officially today. Ganguly, in an interview, cleared that he never had any desire to have a top position in the BCCI. He also revealed that he had no idea about becoming the President until Sunday night.
