Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor recently slammed Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat for his comments on divorce. Bhagwat recently said that the cases of divorce are found more in educated and affluent families and nowadays as education and affluence bring arrogance which results in families falling apart. Sonam shared an article on social media by a website that contained Bhagwat's aforementioned statement on divorce and she even said "Which sane man speaks like this? Regressive foolish statements." Japanese govt distributed 2,000 iPhones to passengers on Coronavirus-hit cruise

The Ministry of Private Affairs and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of Japan recently distributed 2,000 iPhones to all the passengers and the cabin crew, on-board the Diamond Princess cruise. Apart from distributing the iPhones, the Japanese government also distributed user-manuals to the passengers with pre-installed Line app, which will enable people on the cruise ship to accept drug requests and book an appointment with a doctor among other things. Telangana govt to pass Assembly resolution against Citizenship Amendment Act

The Telangana govt, in a Cabinet meeting chaired by CM K Chandrasekhar Rao, has decided to pass an assembly resolution against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), joining the ranks of anti-CAA states. An official release on Cabinet meetings decisions stated that the State Cabinet appealed to the Union Govt, not to discriminate on the basis of religion in granting citizenship to anyone. Delhi Police releases video showing Jamia students entering library with stones

After Jamia Coordination Committee released footage showing Delhi Police beating students amid anti-CAA protests on December 15, Delhi Police has released CCTV footage showing students purportedly entering Old Reading Hall in the MA/MPhil Department of Jamia Millia Islamia University, carrying stones in their hands. The students can then be seen barricading the door shut with tables.
