Mumbai hospital declared containment zone after nurses& doctors test COVID-19 positive

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation(BMC) has been declared Wockhardt Hospital in Mumbai a containment zone after as many as 26 nurses and three doctors tested positive for COVID-19 within a one week. An official told that the administration has barred the entry to and exit from the hospital until all the patients test negative twice consecutively. While the nurses who tested positive for COVID-19 have been shifted to the hospitals. However, the hospital's canteen remains functional and will provide food to the staff and patient. MPs, PM, President, Vice President to take 30% salary cut for 1 year amid COVID-19 crisis

Union Minister Prakash Javadekar announced today that the Cabinet has approved Ordinance amending the Salary, Allowances and Pension of Members of Parliament Act, 1954, and has reduced allowances and pension of MPs, PM and ministers by 30% with effect from April 1, 2020 for a year. He further reported that the President, Vice President, Governors have also voluntarily decided to take a 30% pay cut for one year. AIIMS director Guleria says Community transmission has begun in some areas

While speaking to media, AIIMS director Dr Randeep Guleria said that though community transmission has been seen in some pockets. India is still between Stage 2 (local transmission) and Stage 3. He further informed that most of India are currently at Stage 2 of coronavirus pandemic. India's 1st at-home testing kit by Bengaluru startup for COVID-19 not licensed: Govt

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has reported that India's first at-home coronavirus screening kit, which has been launched by Bengaluru-based startup Bione, has not been licensed by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization.
