Delhi HC refuses to stay death warrant against Nirbhaya’s culprits on Jan 22

Delhi government has filed a petition in which they have mentioned that four convicts of Nirbhaya rape and a murdered case cannot be hanged on January 22 as a mercy petition filed by one of the convicts Mukesh Singh is pending. However, the Delhi High Court rejected the plea to put a stay on a death warrant against the culprits. The High Court said that there is nothing wrong with the trial court’s order on the death warrant. The top court further said that the petitioner can approach the trial court. Captain Tania Shergill, first woman to lead all-men contingent at Army Day 2020

15th January is celebrated as Army Day and to celebrate the day a parade is been conducted every year. This year, the first time in Indian History, Army’s Captain Tania Shergill will be the first woman Parade Adjutant who will lead all-men contingents at the Cariappa Parade in Delhi. She will also be the first woman parade adjutant for the Republic Day parade. Captain Tania is the fourth generation of her family to served in the Indian Army. Court grants bail to 12 protesters involved in violence during CAA protest in Seelampur

Today, Delhi Court has granted bail to Anti-CAA protesters who were allegedly involved in violence and damaging public properties during protest in Delhi's Seelampur area. The Additional Sessions Judge Lalit Kumar granted them bail on giving 15,000 bail bond to authorities.
